Eco tourism......Diani/Chale

The Colobus Cottage (www.colobustrust.org)

Hidden away amongst almost 5 hectares of coastal forest, Colobus Cottage is an office, research base, information center, and primate rescue facility. They have full-time staff members trained as tour-guides, who give an education talk about the Trust, as well as a tour of their Nature Trail giving you a personal introduction to the resident Colobus troop and other flora and fauna.

Kaya Kinondo

Eco-Tourism Project

The Scared Forest of the Kidigo People. Now as a national monument, the Kaya elders have opened the forest on certain days, to allow visitors to witness their unique culture, heritage and the huge diversity of flora and fauna, in this ever shrinking forest dwelling.

Beach Clean-ups Regular Beach clean-ups take place in conjunction with Ocean Conservancy International, which helps to keep our shoreline clean and safe for both people and fish. During the last clean up, Diving The Crab Staff filled a 2 ton lorry with plastic bags, bottles, cloths, flip-flops and other discarded rubbish.
