Itinerary

The largest stock of animals in Africa is in the MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE. SHABA GAME RESERVE is home to Lions, Leopards, the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, not to mention hundreds of types of birds and other animals. NAKURU NATIONAL PARK is the paradise of birds and the home of Rhinos. Experience in a week the fascinating world of Africa's animals.

Day 1 - Nairobi.
Arrive in the Capital City of Nairobi and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight The Stanley or similar (B&B)

Day 2 - Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Drive past the extinct Volcano of Mt Longonot and Suswa into the homelands of the Masai. The Masai Mara constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to observe the unique world of the Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight Mara Sarova Camp or similar. (FB) 

Day 3 - Masai Mara Game Reserve.
You spend the full day on game drives through the tremendous Fauna of the Masai Mara searching for the "Big Five": (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard). Dinner and overnight Mara Sarova Camp or

Day 4 - Masai Mara Reserve-Lake Nakuru National Park.
Your journey takes you straight to Lake Nakuru, which is known for its Sensational Flamingos and Pelicans. The park also boasts over 30 Rhinos as well as a large population of Leopards. After lunch in Lion Hill Lodge enjoy an afternoon gamedrive. Dinner and overnight in Lion Hill Lodge or similar. (FB)

Day 5- Lake Nakuru NP - Lake Naivasha.
Early morning game drive before a short drive to your next destination, namely the beautiful Lake Naivasha. Here you have options of golf on a beautiful 18 hole golf course, bird walks, horseriding, boat cruise on the lake (all not included in the price of the journey). Dinner and overnight Great Rift Valley Lodge or similar. (FB)

Day 6 - Lake Naivasha - Shaba Game Reserve
Drive past Mount Kenya to Shaba National Reserve. 
This Reserve is situated in the dry area of Northern Kenya, where the nomad tribes, the Samburus, the Rendilles and the Boran live. After lunch you will encounter the amazing scenery of Shaba Game Reserve. Return to Sarova Shaba lodge situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river.
Dinner and overnight in Sarova Shaba Lodge or similar. (FB)

Day 7 - Samburu Game Reserve/Shaba
Full day game drives Samburu Reserve with picnic lunch, known for its greve Zebras and the Gerenuk Gazelles. You then take a game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro river, the only source of water for this dry Park. Dinner and overnight in Sarova Shaba Lodge or similar. (FB)

Day 8 - Shaba Game Reserve - Nairobi.
Transfer to Nairobi in the morning to end your safari or to connect onto another Southern Cross Safaris itinerary.
