Itinerary
A journey with lots of contrast from the game enriched plains of the famous
Serengeti to the salt pans of Lake Manyara. A further high point of your journey
is the Ngorongoro crater and Ol'Duvai gorge, both unique sites and a must for
any visitor to Tanzania. This safari can be used as a stand alone safari or as an
add on to any one of the other safaris in this brochure.
Day 1 - Nairobi .
Arrive and transfer to Nairobi Safari Club.
Overnight Nairobi Safari Club or similar(B&B)
Day 2 - Nairobi - Arusha.
Morning transfer to Arusha for lunch Dinner and overnight Impala Hotel or
similar (FB)
Day 3 - Aru sha - Ngorongoro crater.
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater. Afternoon at leisure as you enjoy the
view over the crater. Dinner and overnight Ngorongoro Serena lodge or
similar. (FB)
Day 4 - Ngorongoro crater.
Early in the morning the safari begins with a four wheel drive car down the steep
valley (about 600 m) into the crater. The crater is known for its unusual sights,
including the rare black Rhinos. Picnic on route in the crater near a water spot
where Hippos can be watched. Dinner and overnight Ngorongoro Serena lodge

Day 5 - Ngorongoro crater - Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast you drive through the hilly landscape and into the plains of
Serengeti. On the way you make a detour to the Ol'duvai gorge. Here in the
'cradle of mankind' the skull of a human being was found believed to be the
oldest ever at 1.75 million years old. After lunch in the lodge enjoy an afternoon
game drive. Dinner and overnight Serengeti Serena lodge or similar. (FB)
Day 6 - Serengeti National Park.
Today you spend the whole day on game drive in this National Park, which is
rich with all different species of animals. To give you a better chance of seeing
the big five (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino) you will carry a picnic
lunch with you and spend the full day in the Serengeti National Park.
Dinner and overnight Serengeti Serena lodge or similar. (FB)
Day 7 - Serengeti NP - Lake Manyara
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara, a mineral lake lying in the Rift Valley.
Lunch Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. In the afternoon game drive in Lake
Manyara National Park, the home of the so-called ' Tree Lions'. Apart from the
varied types of landscape including jungle, swamp and savanna, there are also a
large variety of animals including Giraffe, Zebra, Elephant, Gazelle and about
350 different species of birds. Dinner and over night in Lake Manyara Serena
Lodge or similar. (FB)
Day 8 - Lake Manyara - Arusha
After breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch. Transfer to Nairobi arriving at approx.
18:00.
